Terms of Service

Who this applies to

Runtab is a personal project operated by Dean Peterson for his own use. It is not a commercial service, does not accept signups, and does not have user accounts. These terms exist to document usage and liability boundaries for review purposes (Plaid, banks, auditors) and in case I later invite a second user.

Acceptable use

The service is used only to aggregate the operator's own credit card transactions via Plaid. Any future additional user would be bound by these terms and must only link accounts they own.

No warranty

Runtab is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Totals and transaction data displayed should not be treated as authoritative financial records; authoritative data comes from the issuing banks.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dean Peterson is not liable for any loss, damages, or misinterpretation arising from use of Runtab or data displayed by it. Users are responsible for reconciling Runtab's running totals with their own statements for any financial decision.

Service availability

The service runs on private infrastructure without uptime commitments. Scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages happen without notice.

Termination

I may discontinue the service, revoke access, or delete data at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA.
